        This is a photo the night before we left for Viet Nam.
        Several of us went to a local bar to celebrate going there.
        We Marines have a different type of Humor.
        I'm the one with his tongue out.
        We all made it back with only three of us wounded.

        This is one of the barracks that was destroyed Aug 1 1971 by rockets and mortars.

        Ron Eller, class of '63 taking down the flag at Cape Romanzof Alaska.
        Ron said: "It was a radar site on the Bearing Sea. Not much ceremony - just me going out at 6 AM and running it up the flag pole and me going out at 6 PM and running it down the flag pole. Rain, snow, fog it didn't matter. Occasionally I had to dig out the snow from the back door of the Squadron Orderly Room first so I could get to the flag pole".
