All my school years were spent in the north end. Edwards Elem., Gary Jr. High, and the original French High School, class of 1950. Some of the happiest times of my life. I will never forget those years or the people. God Bless!!

I can hardly begin to express all the great feelings I have about French High School and how my education there deeply enriched my life. I can vividly remember all the great plays our teams made and the cheers that followed, all synchronized and shaking the stadium walls nearly causing them to fall to the the ground. I can still vividly remember the great times we boys and girls had together sitting on the grass, just whispering to each other while gathering the pleasures of a warm spring sun. I never had a "bad day" at French High, and ...
Yep, I'm nearly seventy years old now,and have been away from Beaumont since 1959. You must believe that the French High spirit stills lingers in my soul, and If I were to ask God to grant me just one wish, it would be for him to give me one more life so I could attend French High again. Since I taught for several years, the teachers that I had in high school came to have a more special meaning to me. Realizing what they must have gone through with us makes me appreciate them much more. Especially do we all remember Becky Lester without whom many of us would not be able to write sensibly. It's nice to know that I can find some of you people now.
I am married and have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Retired from teaching at the prison in 1996.

My Mother graduated from FHS in l929 and myself and three sisters also were graduates of FHS. My Husband, Earl Duhon graduated from Bhs in l95l. We have traveled in our R.V. all of the states, Alaska and Nova Scotia. We have three daughters and one son. My favorite teacher was Becky Lester.
