Comments: I have stayed in the area since graduation. I have 2 children(Brandy & Justin) 3 gradchildren (Kade, Brianna, & Rowdy). I drove a school bus for BISD for 14 yrs when my kids were growing up & in school. After my divorce, I had to get a real job. I have worked for the Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice for 16 1/2 years. Waiting to retire in about 3 1/2 more years. I married my second husband in 1995 & moved to Fannett. We like RV'ing, fishing, fleamarketing (antiques) & dancing. There are about 4 people from our class that I have stayed in contact with over the years. Love the website & enjoyed reading about everyone's life.

Comments: I can’t believe how fast the years have gone by. I moved to Dallas after graduating from Lamar and lived there for 20 years. I now have a home in Lumberton and work for Intergraph as the Vice President of Software Services. Unfortunately, I recently divorced after 27 years. I started a nonprofit Empowering Women as Leaders in 2004. The nonprofit provides scholarship for women ages 23 and above and provides mentoring from a professional woman through college and two years afterwards. Women join as members and get the opportunity to network with other women. The chapter in Dallas has sponsored 10 women in the first 4 years. The Beaumont chapter was established last year and we are currently working with Lamar to establish the scholarship program for Beaumont. Please send me an email if you are interested in joining!

Comments: Sheila Kelly Buford and I bumped into each other one day in League City , recently we were chatting about FHS class of 73 she told me about this website. As many know I left school to marry got my GED I have taken several classes from Selling Skills, Computer to becoming an Aerobic Instructor. I have been in outside sales for 21 years loved the freedom and was very successful with it. After teaching in a gym for a few years I have discover dancing to be my passion West Coast Swing is my favorite. I have two Sons and three Grandchildren. Moved to Austin, Texas 14 years ago. I have recently became a newlywed three years ago; my husband is in the medical field and now working with his business as the Human Resources and Payroll. We have become world travelers, boating, dance, play tennis and have two Exotic Cats and a spoiled Maltese Sugar Baby. Life is good I am very grateful! When is the next reunion? Comments: I was so excited to learn about French High School's Website. I actually finally gaduated in 74, but all my friends graduate in 73. I was married for 8 years and now have been divorced for 24 years with no childred, just an 8 month old puppy name Misha. Lived in Dallas for 15 years and just moved to League City about 5 eyars ago. I owned my own personal traing business in Dallas. Now I am in outside sales. It was so good to see alot of familiar namesand look forward to hearing from a lot of you! Comments:It has been a very long time since I left the area and moved up to the Fort Worth area. For over 20 years I had my own company with the main office in Arlington. Made the mistake in 98 to sell it to a yankee. Oh well water under the bridge. I now write technical papers for various organizations as well as under contract the US Environmental Protection Agency to write Standard Operating Procedures. Boy working for the government is easy work but they sure waste alot of our money. What have I done: I have been in all 50 states, 7 US providences, and 23 foreign countries. Flew around the world twice. I have been in over 10 country music videos, extra in 8 films, three shot in TX tv serials. Belong to a group of actors that put on plays and skits in the Stockyards in Ft. Worth, TX. I have performed at Billy Bobs in the Stockyards, and I still write songs with a friend that lives in Denton. I contribute time to several charities as a "celeb" (what the heck is that) for golf tournaments and autograph signings. No it is not what I have done in the movies because I was a face in a crowd. If you ever watch a Texas Rangers Baseball game you notice a silver hair gentleman sitting down third base netting baseballs. Yes netting the baseball. Well that is me. Whenever I get my site finished, thenetman.net, it will have more info. It was good to read through so many and enjoy what so many have accomplished. I am sorry I have never made it back to any the reunions, but I hope that will change. Take care each and everyone and I hope to see you all soon.

I have been in Beaumont all my life and Married Nancy Johnson in 1976 also Alumni 75. We have two wonderful children Sara 21 and Andrew 17. Nancy had lost her battle with Breast Cancer in June of 2002 and has gone on to that better place. I've moved a lot, but have been in the Atlanta area for 15 years. Get back to Beaumont about once a year for the holidays. Used to be would surely run into someone I know, but have been gone so long and Beaumont has grown so that I rarely see people I know. Have a wife, that I met here, two daugthers 9 and 11. Involved in several business organizations, church etc. My main memory from those days, I had a girlfriend from Forest Park that somehow managed to get me a hall pass and get me out of art class. Back then, I tended to blend in to the scenery.

Comments: Well, I have been married to for 27 years, in May it will be 28, to Scott Thomas a Forest Park alumni '69. We have two children, Joshua 23yrs. and Shasta 18yrs. and they both attend SFA University. We have been here for 19 years. We started with a polutry farm for a few years and then sold them.. I have worked at the Douglass School(K-12th) for 11 years and my husband is a new car manager at Tipton Ford. We live in a rual area and love it.(the cities aren't to far to shop) My memories of school are really fun, but also sad ones. Alot of things happened and I can only say that God was with me and my family. I think this is a wonderful web idea and you have done an exellent job! My sister Rhonda and brother Jackie still live in Bmt. My brother Eddie (Binky) and my parents live here. I don't see or hear from anyone, but once in awhile I run into someone. I talked to Susan Turner about a couple of years ago and that's about it. I haven't been to any of the r! eunions yet. My faviorite teacher was Mrs. Smith in homemaking class. She really was a very sweet lady.

Comments: Thanks for a great site and the memories it brings. After graduating in '73, I went to L.U. for a while, then moved to Colorado to ski and do the Rocky Mountain High thing. Somehow ended up at Texas A&M (gig 'em) and graduated from Vet School in '83. I met the most wonderful girl in the world while at TAMU (it was love at first site) and got married in 1981. Susan and I have 4 beautiful daughters (poetic justice some say): Ashleigh 11, Heather & Jennifer both 7 (surviving triplets), and Kendall 5. I still play trumpet and guitar and play lead trumpet in the Praise Band at Champion Forest Baptist Church. My family, church, music, home theater & computers are my passions(thank goodness for cable modems). Drop me a line sometime

Comments: ( update: march -04) Working at ExxonMobil Chemical since 1981. Married, 3 kids 16,17 and 19. My hobby has gone out of control so I started my on photography/graphics business. I enjoy driving and shooting the sights around East Texas and north of Austin and creating something I call "PhotoGraphics". I've been lucky enough to have my work used in many company and private publications and a cover shot on the "Oil and Gas Journal". Most of my friends don't recognize me without my camera. I'm even trying to learn how to build a web site but it's a little more time consuming than I'd like, you know.... 3 kids and all.
Great site! Hey everyone, how are ya'll doing? This site answers one of my most often asked questions, "Where'd everyone go?" After HS, I served as a "Scope Dope" in the Air Force for 4 years, went to Lamar and actually graduated. Now I work for Mobil in Beaumont(soon to be Exxon), with Scott Arnold, Jon Tom Day, Kevin Lindstrom and several other old Buffalo heads. Married and have 2 boys, 14, 13 and a daddy's girl 12. Photography is still my main hobby.

Comments: even though i graduated in 1973 i was married 6/9/1972. I was married my senior year! This year we will be married 29 years. My husb John and I have 1 daughter, Kary - she is 21, has graduated with one degree from lamar and will be graduating with her 2nd degree soon. Hopefully she will find a job! My husb is at Mobil and hopefully we will be retiring in the next few years. We plan to move to Kemah. Beaing a beach bum sounds pretty good right now . In the past year I have had 3 major surgeries - one to have a mass removed from my lung - benign thank God. This has been a very hard year for me and my family but we'll make it. I am facing another surgery in a few weeks. This year has to be better! Thanks for this wonderful site - i love it.

Comments: ( updated August 2002 )What a blur! High school, work, marriage, children, grandchildren and soon retirement. Time has turned me into a middle age grandfather. However I still feel like a kid. I married Sheila Havens (class of 1974) in 1974. We have been married 28 years. We have two daughters (Jennifer and Joni), a grandson (Kyle), a granddaughter (Kayla) and a son in law (Chris Nichols). We spent several years in Bowie, TX where we attended Bible college. We then moved to Duncan OK where we worked with Baptist Bible Church. In 1984 we returned to Beaumont and today I work for the Postal Service, and serve as pastor to Grace Bible Fellowship in Mauriceville TX. The memories of friends and school have endured time's passing and they are sweet reminders of our youth. I'd love to hear from any that care to write. My favorite teachers, Miss Klein Geometry) Mrs. Zulma Smith, French-she was more than a teacher she believed in me and provoked me to some discipline.) Comments: Just found out about the homepage from another French High Alumna, my mother-in-law, Betty Jo Lanier Moore, who graduated FHS in 1953. I am a patrolman with the Beaumont Police Department, and have been for the last 11 years. My husband of the past three years, Doug Kibodeaux, is also a BPD officer. I like the idea of the bonfire and 11th ST. cruise for alumni in July, both my mother-in-law and I think it would be fun!

Comments: (UPDATED Nov 3, 2004) I LIVE IN LUMBERTON. I HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR NEARLY 24 YEARS. I HAVE ONE SON, ADAM, WHO IS NOW 14 YEARS OLD. I RECENTLY BECAME A REAL ESTATE AGENT AND I AM AFFILIATED WITH AMERICAN REAL ESTATE IN LUMBERTON. MY FAVORITE TEACHER WAS MRS. MAMIE SMITH(BOOKKEEPING) AND MR. SMALLWOOD (BIO). SOME OF MY CLOSE FRIENDS WERE MARY AND MARGIE KIRK, BOB BODIN, JIMMY STEPHENS, BETTY KEMP. THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS.
I am married and have one son,Adam age 9. He is such a blessing to us. Fred and I have been married 18 years. I think this is such a wonderful reunion. I have been looking for a classmate of mine. Her name is Vanessa Johnson. We called her Red. I have not seen her since we graduated in 1973. I wish I could find her.

Comments: I married a French High graduate of 1971, Phillip Darcy. He is still involved with motorcyles too. He has a performance shop and does work for all the national competators in dirt track and road race. He races for 18 years after he graduated and finally we had to give it up and move back to Texas. We had moved to Illinois to be closer to all the races. Old age set in and a baby came with it and we settled down in the Ft. Worth area. We just couldn't make ourselves move back to that humid climate! I am still friends with Sherry Walker and Colleen Ford and we visit and talk alot. They are both still in the Beaumont area. I am a travel agent and love my work. It has given us the opportunity to travel alot. We are now into scuba diving so we tend to hit the clear carribean water as much as possible. Our favorite dive destination to date is the island of Curacao. Colleen, Sherry, and a few more old time FHS graduates have gone on several girl trips to Cozumel. Phil and I have one son, now age 16. We had just commented on how they don't have an 11th street here to hang out at like we did. It was great and times were better than they are now for our kids. It would be great to hear from the class of 1973 since we were to lazy to have a 25th reunion!!!!
