Ronald "Ronnie" Wayne Rice
Ronald "Ronnie" Wayne Rice, 66, of Lumberton, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at his residence. He was born on June 10, 1954, in Beaumont, to Dorothy "Dot" Elaine Young and George Napoleon Rice, Jr. Ronnie was a 1972 French High graduate and spent his years in the grocery business, including owning a few stores of his own. Ronnie, also known as Pawpaw, was the heart of his family. He was a true force to be reckoned with, but if you knew him you loved him. Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Janelle Jones Rice; children, Carrie Bryant and her husband, W.T., Jr.; Ronnie "Bubba" Rice II; Meagan Adams and her husband, Larrin; and Brandi Miller and her husband, Mike; grandchildren, Ethan, Cade and Evan Bryant, Troy Rice, Karson Guidry, Weston Adams, Matthew and Brandon Bautizta; and special nephew, Ricky Nichols and his wife, Cheryl; and special niece, Christy Webb and her husband, Charles; along with several other special nieces and nephews. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Austin Cole Rice; and cousin like a brother, Robbie Rice. A gathering of Mr. Rice's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Elvin Lee Hill
Elvin Lee Hill was born in Beaumont, Texas on a Wednesday morning February 3, 1954, the second of four boys, to Dale and Velma Hill. He passed peacefully from this life into a promised future in heaven on Monday, March 15, 2021 in Winnie, Texas. He was a graduate of French High School, class of '72, where he excelled in track as a long distance runner and received his bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He later owned and operated his own title abstract company, ELH Contracting, Inc., that served the area of southeast Texas. Lee was preceded in death by his father who died in a hunting accident in 1957 when Lee was three years old, a daughter, Andrea Dawn, as well as his mother and stepfather, Dick and Velma Busby. He is survived by his wife, Teresa, of Hamshire, a son, Evan (Felicia) of Arizona, and a daughter, Ellis, of Kingwood, and six grandchildren-James and Julia, Aubrie, Easton, Jaxon and Genevieve, as well as a great nephew, Brayden McComb, whom he dearly loved and a stepdaughter, Jennifer Nantz (fiancé, Jason) of Kingwood. Lee is also survived by an older brother, Dale (Karen) of Lago Vista, TX, and two younger brothers, Steve of Hardin, TX and Mike (Dawn) of Angleton, TX along with many other nieces, nephews and friends. People will remember Lee as a highly energetic, fun-loving man who was involved in civic and social activities in and around the Beaumont-Liberty-Dayton area. He loved the outdoors and grew up hunting and fishing with his three brothers, a passion he shared later with his children. He loved spending time with his kids at all sorts of sports activities and often coached their teams in order to pour into their lives. Lee was a member of First Baptist Church, Dayton. A brief graveside service will be held in Dayton at the Magnolia Park cemetery at 10 am on Saturday, March 27. Tommy Ray Millner
Tommy, a lifelong resident of Beaumont, was a music minister for First United Methodist Church in Groves.
Survivors include his daughters, Lauren K. Millner and her husband Bert Sanchez; Alyssa L. Millner; brother, Joe Millner and his wife Brenda; nephew Casey Millner; grandchild, Jillian Sanchez; and best friend, Phillip Ellis.
Frank Bernard
Frank Joseph "Bubba" Bernard, Jr, a native of Beaumont and a resident of Broussard, passed away at 12:58PM on Tuesday at his residence.
He enjoyed tinkering on cars, fishing, hunting, football and NASCAR.
Survivors include his wife, Stacy Evans Bernard; a son, Frank Bernard, III; two daughters, Ashlyn Bernard and her companion Garrett Langford and Jordan Bernard; a sister, Linda Crum; two dogs, Tex and Trixie; and two cats, Socks and Sid.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Joseph Bernard, Sr. and Gertrude Cecelia Ohlenforst Bernard; and his brother, Dennis Bernard.
Patrick "Pat" Follmer
Patrick �Pat� Follmer, 61, of Beaumont, died Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.
He was born on November 10, 1952, in Beaumont, to Geraldine Breen Follmer and Jack Everett Follmer, and had been a native of Beaumont. He also lived in Georgia and Florida until he recently moved back home.
Pat loved fishing, hunting, he was an avid Nascar fan, and was known for being quiet and kind.
Pat is survived by his children, Patrick �P.J.� Follmer and his wife, Michelle, of Blytheville Arkansas; grandchildren, Seth Breen Follmer, Seth Michael Milam, Gavin Follmer, and Sophie Milam; parents, Geraldine and Jack Follmer of Beaumont; brothers, Jack Follmer, Jr. and Arnel of New York, New York; Mark Follmer and his wife, Caroline, of Gainesville, Georgia; sister, Lea Ann Harvey and her husband, James, of Beaumont; and niece, Caitlin Harvey.
A gathering of Mr. Follmer�s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Broussard�s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2014, at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont. Gordon H. Gentry
Gordon H. Gentry, 59, of Kirbyville, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont.
He was born on December 31, 1953, in Beaumont, to Eva Mae Barnett Gentry and Howard Lee Gentry.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Toni Gentry of Kirbyville; daughter, Michelle Pearson and her husband, Cody Pearson; daughter, Lynette Gentry; son, David Shawn Gentry; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mr. Gentry will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Lewis Chapel, 7903 FM 363, Newton. A family committal will be at Broussard�s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard�s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont
Joey Watson
Joel Martin Watson, known to friends as Joey, passed from this life on May 22, 2013. He was born in Beaumont to John and Ila June Watson on March 18, 1954.
He attended French Elementary, James Bowie Jr. High, French High School, and graduated from Lamar University in 1977. In his younger years Joey was an accomplished athlete lettering in 3 sports in high school and playing college baseball. He worked in industrial sales most of his adult life, but devoted his last several years to caring for his mother and brother, John.
When possible he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, and watching team sports. He was also an avid reader. Most remember Joey as outgoing and humorous, with a smile that always lit up a room when he entered.
Joey was preceded in death by his father, John Allison Watson, and is survived by his mother, Ila June Watson of Beaumont, one son, Joel Forrest Watson and wife Emily of the Dallas area, one granddaughter, Lily, and three brothers; Jack Seely of Austin, John Watson II of Beaumont, and Jeffrey Watson and wife, Jean Elise, of Palestine; his nephew, Jack Wesner Seely Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK and his niece, Dawn Michelle Beltz of Stafford, VA.
He is greatly missed.
Sheryl Lynn Heufelder Frazier
Funeral services for Sheryl Lynn Frazier, 57, of Beaumont, was held, Thursday, September 8, 2011, at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Ms. Frazier died in Lake Charles.
Sheryl was a native and lifelong resident of Beaumont.
Survivors include mother, Mary Heufelder; daughter, Chelsea Rivers and husband, Paul of Grand Cayman; son, Justin Frazier and wife, Mena of Houston; five grandchildren, Branden, Jordan, Amelia, Aedan, and Chloe; two sisters, Kary Fallon of Beaumont and Renee Watkins of Vidor; and brother, Butch Heufelder of Lumberton.
