Lana Ward Ray - class of '85
Lana Ray, 41, of Beaumont, died Saturday, May 30, 2009. Born on August 24, 1967, to Otis and Oclene Herrin Ward, she was a lifelong resident of the area and a faithful member of Pine Burr Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Ray II of Beaumont; son, Kyle Ray and his wife Rachel of Richmond; daughter, Emilee Ray of Beaumont; father, Otis Ward of Groves; sisters, Julie Ray of Lumberton, Debra Pyle of East Bernard, Rhonda Ivey of Nederland, and Laura Cooper of Beaumont; brothers, Craig Ward of Nederland, and Ray Cooper, Jr. of Beaumont; many loving nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Oclene Cooper. Her funeral service were held, June 3, 2009, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s. ( wife of Bobby Ray '83)

Mark Edward Johnson class of '78
Mark, 50, a life long resident of Beaumont , passed away Friday, July 11, 2008 at South Davis Community Hospital in Bountiful , Utah . Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Reverend Reggie Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. Mark lived most of his life in Beaumont , moving to Bountiful a few years ago. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Willette Sorrell Johnson and Malcolm Earl Johnson; sister, Sharlene Lynell Johnson and brother, Stephen Paul Johnson. Surviving Mark is his sister Darlene Johnson Mullins and husband Tom of Woods Cross, Utah and a host of family and friends.
