Most of the places we visited limit the decoration to table decorations. Balloons and center pieces are allowed. But nothing on the walls.

The Library offers 3 beautiful rooms. It's located on the 8th floor over looking the college and Exxon Mobil. The larger room, The Julia Plummer room accommodates 300 guest seated at tables. There are 2 other smaller rooms, The Spindletop room seats 125, and the M.B. Lamar room seats about 40. There is plenty of parking. There is a 50% deposit requirement. Inhouse catering is also required . Security is a must!

This is one we didn't know about, but was excited to find. It's an older home located behind the Bank Of America drive through, so there is plenty of parking on weekends. At this time we didn't get to go in, but saw through the windows and talked to them. They have 4 rooms in all, the smaller sun room holds 6 card tables, all together they will accommodate about 125 seated with an extra 25 standing. It has a nice kitchen.
The rent is great @ $50.00 an hr., with a $300.00 deposit.

Clifton Steamboat Museum

The Clifton Steamboat Complex is located on Fannett Rd., almost behind Ford Park. It's a little farther than most of the other places, but offers a nice banquet hall. The Moresi's Foundry is the large hall and can accommadate up to 300 people. It has a nice stage and a dance floor. The price is about $900.00 for 4 hrs. No candles are allowed. The complex has a lot to offer. I think it is a must see place for reunions!
Beaumont Yacht Club

Located on the Neches River, Beaumont Yacht Club has a nice view of the river. I'm not real sure, but think you have to be a memeber or know someone that is. I have not talked to any one at the club as of today. I have been to several reunions there, and thought they were really nice. Time of year would be a big issue for this rental hall for all the sides open for a view of the river..
