    Comments: Moved to and lived in Pasadena, Tx for 34 years. Moved to Silsbee and retired in 2002. I live on the edge of the Big Thicket and fight with it every spring. It wants my place. Married a girl from New Jersey! We have three grand daughters. Still ride a Harley and four wheelers in my backyard. Which belongs to the lumber company but they are never around to catch me.

We have 3 children Troy 38 lives in Kingwood,Texas, Tod 36 lives in Lake Jackson,Texas and Kristi Benson 31 lives in Beaumont. We have two grandchildren a grandson Andy and a granddaughter Cassie who live in Lake Jackson. I'm still working for Mobil but hoping for an early retirement very soon. We are most anxious to get back to Beaumont area closer to those we miss and love. Had a GREAT time at 40th class reunion. So good to see "old" friends.

    Comments: I have lived in Houston since December 1961. I have worked in Baseball since coming here starting with the Colt .45s then the Astros, a 13-month stint with the New York Yankees, back to the Astros until 1980, and presently work for Tal Smith Enterprises, which is a sports consulting firm. My days at French High were the best. I count myself very fortunate to have graduated from there. We had the best teachers the absolute best principal in Mr. Hybarger, a great basketball team -- Jimmy Gilbert, Gary Ray Clark, Johnnie Flowers -- just to name a few, and the best coach in Doug Lindsay. We went to State in '58 or '59. Some of the students went on busses and spent two nights in the Greyhound Bus Station in the bus. We had parties at our homes, slumber parties, etc. They were the greatest people to share that part of your life with and we had some of the greatest parents! You really don't have enough room for me to tell you all of the great things that happened during the 1957-59 era. Thanks so much for letting me share this.

S. seeing as much as we can before we get to outdated to drive. Miss hearing about the Beaumont of old. Not much information on either BHS or FHS class of '61.
