Nice to see that Joyce underwood is in Ft. Worth,Texas. We have been in Fort Worth for 12 years. I am a retired Texas teacher, but am now working for St. Andrew's Catholic school. Rodney retired from Unocal in Nederland in 1998. Rodney graduated from French in1958. We have two grow children and one grandchild and have been married 48 years in July.
This website is wonderful and I was just wondering how we stand on coming reunions. Does anyone know if we are planning a reunion this year?

Comments:i met some interesting people at french high...students there seem to be more down to earth,frendly,and easy to talk to. mr.coody was funny and deeply involved in our lives. ms. dunn helped me out a lot in art class. other teachers were instramental in pointing me in the right direction. they were all inspiring.

Judy Hatch keeps me updated but I have not keep in touch with most of my classmates. Have taught in college, sold real estate for 19 years and am now looking for my next career. My son, Darren Nichols, is 26 and lives in Flagstaff, AZ. My husband Ralph has 5 children and 3 grandchildren. Nice to have so much family. I am currently teaching Art in Woodville, Texas. I do not have a computer so if you want to contact me, you'll have to email my daughter, Heather. I have two children, John 34 who lives in Austin, and Heather 30 who lives in Fredericksburg. My favorite teacher was Ms. Halbouty because of her dramatic teaching style. This sense of drama helped me to remember all of the basic rules of grammar which enabled me to make it through college with a B.A. (University of Florida) and a M.S. (Florida State University). I have Great Memories of French High and I would love to hear from other graduates of '61.

Konnie (Robbs-FHS'65) & I are both retired(from the military)...sort of. We're both back in school again. It's hard to believe that it's been 49 years since graduation. I do remember fondly the good times at French. And even the bad times don't seem that bad anymore. Anyone up for a "50th Reunion"? Best wishes to all.

(update 2007)
Konnie (FHS '65) is still on active duty with the Air Force. She is now a full Colonel (0-6) and will probably retire in 2009...maybe '10. She is the Command Nurse and Director of Education and Training for the Air Force Reserves and stationed at Air Force Reserve Headquarters at Robins AFB in Warner Robins, GA. She is responsible for the control of about 10,000 personnel. We arrived here on July 30 of 2006.
I am a Police Lieutenant with the Fort Valley Police Department; a small town of 10,000 about 12 miles West of Warner Robins. I am the administrative officer and budget director for the department and the supply chief...among other duties. Hope all is going well with all our FHS Alumni. Maybe we will get to make a reunion in the near future.

(update, August. 2005) Konnie (FHS-'63) and I are now at Scott AFB, IL. Arrived here October '03. She just got promoted to Colonel and is the Commander of the 375 Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. Her unit is the one bringing all the casualties back from overseas. She was thinking about retiring a couple of years ago, but seems to be enjoying herself too much to actually do it. I'm flying part-time for a local helicopter company, but mostly I'm just retired and taking care of the house and our three little dogs. Best of luck to all and thanks for the web site. Lyndon

I'm looking at 2-5 dynamite years before retiring from a career as a researcher in wildlife ecology with the U.S. National Park Serv.& Fish and Wildlife Serv. Have been fortunate enough to spend details in NY, VA, WV, MN, MO, WY, and AK, with international assignments in Canada, Belize, and Australia. My work has taken me to every state in the U.S.- most with wife Joan (Paris,TX)who also works for NPS. And it all started with hunting and fishing in the Big Thicket just north of Beaumont with buddies George Miller, "Boogie" Mitchell, Ray Hatch, Jodie Ragland, Evan Norton, Gene Pipes, Mike Gilbert, and others - and a GREAT high school education at French. I don't think any of my kids enjoyed high school nearly as much as I did seems times have changed. So thanks to the fine teachers and coaches, and you classmates. DROP US AN EMAIL!

I have been married to Connie Fritsche (class of '63) for 35 years. We have two sons and a daughter-in-law. Doug is living in Tampa and working on his Phd. Bryan and Piper live in Beaumont. We have a consturction business and I have been fortunate enough to turn my job over to Bryan so I can "play." I ride in trail rides, fish, golf, hunt, and most anything that comes along.
