I have been out of the loop for a few years, as since not working since 9/2006, have not had a computer. Now I am back in the 21st century.
Living in Houston, Texas for 33 years. Have two handsome sons, Shawn and Darren . Worked for Lason, Inc. formerly Bonner & Moore Computing as Admin. Asst. for 11 1/2 years. Was in banking prior to this job. I am a first time grandmother of a beautiful girl named Lauren Marie Lafferty. Grandmotherhood is the most wonderful experience in the world. Makes life really worth living. Married 35 years 1/30/2000. My favorite teachers were Rosalie Halbouty, Ms. Cunningham, Ms. George. Anybody remember them? My runaround buddies were, Donna Lemmon, Gay Collins, Elaine Morris, Linda Spell, and others.

Comments: What a blessing to see some of the old places we used to visit and see! I graduated in 1962. I remember so many from the past that were and are so dear to my heart. Jack Blake and Mickey Webster were very close friends.Mickey and I double-dated the night before he was called back to his base. What a time we had piled up in my 53Chevy convertible at the old circle drive-in.

There are 2 other FHS grads in the congregation (Sheila Nance-Willis and John D.Davis). Met FHS grad Terry Barrow in Alto, TX. in '79 while pastoring there. They're everywhere! Even though she never imagined I would make it through college, Mrs. Halbouty inspired me to get a BA in English Lit., before going on to seminary. Coach Richard Bess inspired me to do the best I could with the talents I had. Thanks for the positive influence.

Comments: I've lived in beautiful central Texas for about 24 years now. Our "new" home (four years old) is about 11 miles from Wimberley. My husband, Stan, and I have three children each. I have three daughters and have the pleasure of two step-daughters and one step-son. We've been married since Feb. 14, 1987. Stan is a Civil Engineer. Three months ago I retired after working for what seems like most my life. I'm enjoying being at home and trying to find my niche in life without going to an office everyday. I don't miss it but do miss being around my friends. My last job was at SWT in the Human Resources office. My hobbies include yard work, crafts, antiquing, flea markets and refinishing furniture. I'm still looking for my one great talent! We have only one grandchild so far but hope to be lucky enough to have more. Logan is three, his mom is Stan's oldest daughter. I've gone to only three reunions, but enjoyed the 40th the most. I hope to see all of you at the next one!

Comments: I am married to Brenda DeLatte, class of 1967. We have two teenagers in high school, one a senior, Jacob, and one a sophomore, Hope. Jacob starts college next fall. Please send money. Married 20 years this year. I have taught middle school for 31+ years, fool that I am. Brenda teaches middle school, also. I served in the Air Force for 4 years during Viet Nam. We are active in Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio, teaching, singing, and in a percussion group. Of all the schools in which I have taught, French is still "the best school I ever knew". We were a family and our school was an integral part of our lives. I remember my favorite teachers like Mrs. Halbouty, Mrs. Smith, Miss Knox, and Mrs. Wagstaff. They helped make my years at French special. I have heard about all the activities the the alumni are enjoying, and wish I could be there. I am looking forward to our 40 year reunion this June and catching up on news and memories. I've enjoyed rea! ding the guest book. This is great!

Comments: I was told about your homepage by Judy Hatch. I want to be able to communicate with former classmates that are still with us. I have been very sad since Judy told me about someone who passed. My favorite teacher was Mrs. Halbouty. I will never forget her jumping off of her desk into a trash can to demonstrate a dangling participle in English class. She was very different and interesting. I was in the Buffalo Belles and loved every minute of it. I really enjoyed the bus rides to and from the games. It was fun laughing and singing with all of the girls.

( Updated Aug. '06) Tom (class of 1958) retired Dec. 31 2003 in Houston. We built a new home in New Braunfels, (God's country) and moved to the hill country. We absolutely love it. We have 3 grandsons with a 4th one on the way. All belong to our daughter.............
Maribeth, I do not know you personally but I want to thank you for making this site available to us. I have read a lot of notes tonight. ( I think it is about 4:30 a.m.) Found a few people I haven't seen or heard about in a long time. Again, many thanks. I am married to Tom Dawson (class of 1958 and called Tommy by his classmates). We married in 1968 and have one daughter, Brandy,25 a new bride, and one son Will, attending Texas A&M. They have been a source of wonder and delight. Tom and I have lived in Wilmington, DE., &in Orange, TX. (all working for DuPont) in Bay City, TX. and Victoria, TX. (with Oxy Chem.) We are still in Victoria but the name changed to Equistar Chemicals LP. We have been married for 32 wonderful years. I have been fortunate and blessed to be able to be a "stay at home" Mom while my children were small. We look forward to Tom's retirement in a few years. We stay active in church and local activities. We still have families in the Beaumont area, Bob Collins, my brother class '58, and Earl "Hank" & Bettye Richmond. Hank was a coach at FHS and both he and Bettye graduated from FHS as did Krissy Dee and Roger Richmond their children. Thanks again for doing this. If their are any more 1962 grads e-mail me.
Just an update to a previous entry. I am a "new" grandmother of a 10 month old grandson. Jason Thomas Dawson Marsh was born in Philadelphia, PA. Jan. 21, 2001. He is a precious baby. What they say about being a grandparent is true!!! We have a reunion coming up on June 8, 2002. I plan to be there with husband, Tom (class 1958) in tow.

First I want to say, Hi to my friends out there! Still living in Richmond and still married to the same person. Retired from Jacobs Eng Group last April, still haven't adjusted to my new life. Ever heard of working your way out of a job, it can happen. Wife and I bought a Fifth Wheel and Big Truck to pull it, thought we'll do a little traveling when it stops raining and if the price of Diesel isn't too high because of the EPA carbon tax, "Cap & Trade". Oh yea, and if we can afford Health Ins too. My god I sure hope I didn't go to school with anyone that voted for these clowns that are ruining our retirement years. Got 8 grand kids now, but that's a story for another time, not all of them have my last name, get the drift. Happy New Year and God be with us all.
I Married a South Park Gal, Merl Ann Songe and moved to the big city of Houston shortly after in '67. We have two sons, one married, one still single, and have two grandkids, Ashley & Hunter. I have worked for several Chemical Engineering Companies around town in the past, but now work for Fluor Daniel as a Design Specialist in the Piping Design Dept. Today when I think of my high school days, I think of all my friends, meeting at the Pig Stands after school, and 11th. street. My special memories are the Sock Hopps in the cafteria and dancing with all the girls.

My sister told me about the web page and I have really had a blast reading about classmates, what they are doing and where they are these days. When I saw the name of Rosalie Halabouty (what a teacher and character)- did that bring back memories. I can still recite poetry that I learned in her class. I especially remember Trees, I had to repeat it seven times until I put enough "feeling" into it to suit her. Those were the days! Would love to hear from any "old" classmates.

Comments: I think this online reunion is great. Good job to you guys that put this together. After graduating in 1962 I spent some time in the Air Force and then went to work for Southwestern Bell here in Beaumont. I am going to retire Feb 17 1999. But my last day on the job is just 14 days away due to saved up vacation. Then I will be moving to Arkansas, but not worry I WILL be checking this site on a regular basis. I married Diane Bloomfield (alumni) in 1965 but we were divorced in 1990. We have two children, Jody(boy) Christy(girl) and Christy is expecting our first granchild on Dec 21 coming up. I guess I will just turn around and come back for a while. Anyway, my email will change but the first part will stay lencow I hope. I will visit Beaumont often and may see some of you off and on.

Comments: Hey everyone, so glad to be involved in this FHS online reunion. Terrific idea and cudos to you, Maribeth. After graduation, I joined the marine Corps, married my kids dad and lived in California. Then we moved to Beaumont for a short while, had our first son in 1966, moved to Atlanta,Ga. then to Tampa,Fl. and had our second son in 1970, then moved to back to Atlanta, then back to Orlando,Fl. My oldest, Darren is 32, engaged, works in construction and lives in LaBelle. My youngest, Danny is 28, married, with sons named Jace(2)and Lucas(2 mo) I am married to Wayne Aiken, who has his own company - WAYNE'S HOME IMPROVEMENT- here in Bmt. for any of you guys that need any carpentry or electrical work done reasonably ;>) We advertise in the Thrifty Nickleand at Southeasttexas.com. My life has been full- anyone who knew me could have predictted that ! I've been Assistant Veteran's Service Officer for Jefferson County for 9 years. I've been a lead singer for a gospel group that made a record in Nashville. I've been a nurse on an alternative Youth Correctional program on a wagon train while my husband works as a scout locting camps for he program. We joined the wagon train in Conroe, Texas and travled down the road at 4 mph all the way to Boise, Idaho. It was a experience we will never forget- worked with gang members and juenile offenders, very rewarding work. Now I am a nurse in Home Health- but thinking of changing to another field. Anyway we are Christians, we're studing and trying to grow spiritually. God has kept us on our toes, but thankfully. He has been very good to us. My husband lost his son in a automobile accident in Atlanta approximately one year after we were married and that has been a steep climp for him but other than that, we're thankful for our blessings. We just signed back on to AOl and my two current e-mail addresses are Caiken0508@aol.com and Carlo05@juno.com. Write me and say "hey". Looking forward to seeing you guys at an online reunion some day.. Oh yeah. for you who don't know it or can't remember- Joe and Milton Bonura are my brothers. Later, Carol
