I have been out of the loop for a few years, as since not working since 9/2006, have not had a computer. Now I am back in the 21st century.
Living in Houston, Texas for 33 years. Have two handsome sons, Shawn and Darren . Worked for Lason, Inc. formerly Bonner & Moore Computing as Admin. Asst. for 11 1/2 years. Was in banking prior to this job. I am a first time grandmother of a beautiful girl named Lauren Marie Lafferty. Grandmotherhood is the most wonderful experience in the world. Makes life really worth living. Married 35 years 1/30/2000. My favorite teachers were Rosalie Halbouty, Ms. Cunningham, Ms. George. Anybody remember them?
My runaround buddies were, Donna Lemmon, Gay Collins, Elaine Morris, Linda Spell, and others.

What a blessing to see some of the old places we used to visit and see! I graduated in 1962. I remember so many from the past that were and are so dear to my heart. Jack Blake and Mickey Webster were very close friends.Mickey and I double-dated the night before he was called back to his base. What a time we had piled up in my 53Chevy convertible at the old circle drive-in.

Married for 36 years to a beautiful girl from Uvalde,Tx. Four children,3grandchildren.Currently pastoring a Methodist Church in Spring Branch. There are 2 other FHS grads in the congregation (Sheila Nance-Willis and John D.Davis). Met FHS grad Terry Barrow in Alto, TX. in '79 while pastoring there. They're everywhere! Even though she never imagined I would make it through college, Mrs. Halbouty inspired me to get a BA in English Lit., before going on to seminary. Coach Richard Bess inspired me to do the best I could with the talents I had. Thanks for the positive influence.

I've lived in beautiful central Texas for about 24 years now. Our "new" home (four years old) is about 11 miles from Wimberley. My husband, Stan, and I have three children each. I have three daughters and have the pleasure of two step-daughters and one step-son. We've been married since Feb. 14, 1987. Stan is a Civil Engineer.
Three months ago I retired after working for what seems like most my life. I'm enjoying being at home and trying to find my niche in life without going to an office everyday. I don't miss it but do miss being around my friends. My last job was at SWT in the Human Resources office. My hobbies include yard work, crafts, antiquing, flea markets and refinishing furniture. I'm still looking for my one great talent! We have only one grandchild so far but hope to be lucky enough to have more. Logan is three, his mom is Stan's oldest daughter. I've gone to only three reunions, but enjoyed the 40th the most. I hope to see all of you at the next one!

Greetings to the Class of '62!! Would love to hear from you! I've lived in Clarksville for the past 26 years, but I'm still a Texan. I was married for 38 years, divorced, and just remarried another Texan who turned out to be my widowed neighbor. We've been married for all of 15 months and are extremely happy. Between us we have 5 children (all girls except for my son) and 10 wonderful grandchildren. We have quite a time when we all get together!! I've taught 6th grade English at the same middle school for 19 years and will retire in 3. Bob is retired from the army and was also the Chief of Security at Ft. Campbell, Ky, when he retired for the second time. We are very much looking forward to just being able to spend time together doing the things we enjoy.
Would love to hear from (or info about) Cheryl Venable and Sandra Moore.
Best wishes to all,
Karen

I am married to Brenda DeLatte, class of 1967. We have
two teenagers in high school, one a senior, Jacob, and one a sophomore,
Hope. Jacob starts college next fall. Please send money. Married 20
years this year. I have taught middle school for 31+ years, fool that I
am. Brenda teaches middle school, also. I served in the Air Force for
4 years during Viet Nam. We are active in Trinity Baptist Church in San
Antonio, teaching, singing, and in a percussion group. Of all the
schools in which I have taught, French is still "the best school I ever
knew". We were a family and our school was an integral part of our lives.
I remember my favorite teachers like Mrs. Halbouty, Mrs. Smith, Miss
Knox, and Mrs. Wagstaff. They helped make my years at French special. I
have heard about all the activities the the alumni are enjoying, and
wish I could be there. I am looking forward to our 40 year reunion this
June and catching up on news and memories. I've enjoyed rea!
ding the guest book. This is great!

I was told about your homepage by Judy Hatch. I want to be able to communicate with former classmates that are still with us. I have been very sad since Judy told me about someone who passed.
My favorite teacher was Mrs. Halbouty. I will never forget her jumping off of her desk into a trash can to demonstrate a dangling participle in English class. She was very different and interesting.
I was in the Buffalo Belles and loved every minute of it. I really enjoyed the bus rides to and from the games. It was fun laughing and singing with all of the girls.

Married 30 yrs to Sharron Wheeler (Class of 63)and divorced. Have two beautiful children (Jack,Jr.(J.J.)-28 & Dawn Michelle-25), and two grandchildren via J.J., Kiowa-6 & Chenenne-2. Married a second time (I'm a slow learner) to Valerie(an Austinite) for 2 yrs and divorced. After our 1962 FHS graduation, I went to Henderson Jr. College for 2 yrs on a basketball scholarship where I received an A.A. degree. Sharron and I married at the end of my sophomore year and we moved to Austin, Tx., where we lived from 1964 to present. While there I went to "The University of Texas" where I received a B.A. in Zology and a B.S. in Pharmacy. I practiced pharmacy from 1970 thru 1990. I owned two pharmacies, in Austin, during that time and sold them in approx. 1990, to change careers. I am now in Financial Services with Primerica Financial Services, the marketing arm of Citigroup, Inc. I have specialized in securities, primarily retirement accounts for both individuals and co!
mpanies. For whatever reason, I've recently been running into several FHS friends. It has really been great. Please say hello whenever you can. I am making this entry on Feb. 23, 2001.

You're doing a great job - thanks!
I appreciate the fact that our class was small enough for us to all know each other. I remember with great fondness the friendly students and remarkable faculty. Have only fond memories of French, the students and teachers. Loved being part of band and orchestra. Just wondering if you know the whereabouts of Ms. Halbouty?

Hi! I'm starting my 30th year teaching business at Nicholls State. Janelle and I will celebrate 32 years of marriage in November. Our three daughters are grown first grandchild is due in January. My thanks go out to the MANY teachers who guided me into math, science, writing, and music. All of these still come in handy. The first three are useful on the job. The last one--I perform and write for a saxophone ensemble--is "preparing for retirement."
