Just checked in during the heat of another Texas summer day...103 degrees in the shade! Would love to hear from classmates and get caught up on what you all are doing. Retired and living near Kirbyville since Hurricane Rita rearranged Orange. We had this place for a weekend get away and so we sold our house in Orange and moved here permanently. Love country life and our fish pond. Recently cancelled my Facebook account due to hacking of my account there. I graduated from FHS in 1963 and went on to study physical education at Lamar. I graduated from Lamar and went on to be a coach for most of my life after serving in the Navy for four years. I married Carol Overman and we have one daughter, Wendy who now lives in Tahlaquah, Ok. and two grandchildren. We are both retired teachers and I enjoy playing golf mainly at Silsbee Country Club. I also do pulpit supply for churches as needed.

We are both retired now, but Chuck works at Sea World of Texas for fun. He does tours and gives information at some of the various animal locations. We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren (one of whom lives with us and we are helping raise). I taught 27 years in the SWISD and retired 7 years ago.

I am currently retired and living in Bryan, Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas Austin and moved to the Washington, D.C. area with my then husband, Darrell and son Darrell, Jr.. From there we moved to California where my son Chris was born. Another transfer found us back in the Washington area where I studied accounting, and got my CPA license. I have worked as an accountant, consultant and auditor for several firms and retired from the University System of Maryland in 2007. I wanted to spend some time reconnecting with my mother and sisters, so I moved back to Texas. My sons, who are both married now, still live in the Washington area. I frequently return there for visits. I would love to hear from any of my old classmates and hope to attend the next reunion. I guess it will be the 50th. Can you believe it?

Maribeth ,thank you so much for all the great work you have done with the FHS memories.
Reading these have really brought back memories with our teachers and other students. I live in Austin now. Have 3 wonderful sons and i grandchildren.
I lived in Las Vegas 35 yr. and left there to come close to home.
My middle son and I run a homebuilding business and I have a son in Vegas in the building business and a son in Salt Lake Utah that is a fireman.
It has been wonderful reading about the other friends I went to school with. Thank you again.
When the bell would ring and everyone out in the halls chatting away and seeing how many people you could see in the little space of time. Such fun for us all.

I lived in Houston for a long time, but moved to Port Arthur when both parents became ill. I have been trying to figure out how to put a name on the Memorial page. Janis Paul, class of 1960, died in July 2009 of cancer. She was Janis Paul Ozio Miller then. She first married John Ozio and they had three children, Angela, Danny and Jeff. Later married Dean Miller and they moved to Indiana. She died in Indiana. Her sister is Karen Paul Guzma, email address Karemart7@aol.com. She informed someone of Janis's death and said she heard from several people but I did not see Janis's name listed.

I am still living in Monroe, La and now managing a private social work counseling practice out of my home on the bayou. Would love to hear from classmates as well as folks in the class of 62 and 64. graduate 1963. traveled, obtained a BS in Biology, Army, medical sales, created med. Company, two sons, remember the names and fun times, but I don’t believe I would remember anyone if I saw them again.. just too many years. Jim Samaha , I have seen recently, David Gilcreae has disappeared.. I was a shadow guy in high school , so I don’t expect many to know me, but my three years in French High School helped form my attitude for life. My husband, Kenneth Comeaux, and I are owners of Cajuns Corner Quarter Horses. I turned into a country girl with gusto! We raise train and breed registered quarter horses mostly foundation stock. We have two children..JK Comeaux Jr. married w/three children.He and his wife Nancy work for the Regional Veterans Administration in Waco, Tx. He spent 7 yrs. in the USMC and was in Desert Storm w/ the 3rd MAW. Our daughter Corine Castle is married w/two children. She is a medical records technician in Temple, Tx. Her husband Marvin is emloyed w/Tranum Buick. I visit in the Beaumont area quite often, even though I moved away in 1964. My family is still here. My three sisters and our mother are graduates of French High School. When I think of the memories of high school it isn't only my classmates that I remember...it's also classes of '52, '58, and '65, the years my sisters graduated, and their friends. I would be glad to hear from anyone...and will respond!

I have only one regret about my high school years - not spending more time getting to know more people; I see names in the yearbook and realize that I may remember the name and possibly the face but know nothing about the person and that's a shame - so if anybody reads this, please take a couple of minutes and type in a little information about yourself - I'd love to hear about you. Also, please accept my apology for being such a loner, keep to myself, not seeming to care about you, not really a good friend or very friendly type of person, etc. Jennings or as some called me, Ham

Thank you for putting together this great web site. It's delightful to read about former classmates, teachers, traditions, and sites. I completed my B.A. degree in Speech and English from Georgetown College (Kentucky) in 1967 and my M.A. degree in Communications from the University of Kentucky in 1970. My professional background includes classroom teaching (both at the secondary and junior college levels),technical writing and editing, and management. I have been in my current position for 10 years as Manager of the Publications Department at a NASA-related research institute. I have been married to John Cloud (Bellaire High School, class of '67) for the past 10 years, and we are very active in Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Houston. I remember my French High days with great fondness and look forward to our 40th reunion!

I have been out of touch for about 40 years but would like to hear from ya'll and attend the next reunion.After high school I went to Kilgore Jr College then Sam Houston after graduation joined the Navy and spent the next 32 years either in the Navy or working for them Retired last May but still work part time.I have one daughter 27 and one grand daughter 2 years old.My hobbies include farming hunting, shooting and riding horses up in the Cascade mountains.This is a great site, wish I had known about it before. I went through Bowie with most of the class of 1963 and then we moved to Australia and When we came back I was put back in the class of 1964 and my classmates were Juniors so I was seperated frim them. Then we move our Senior year to Mississippi where I graduated. I have always been invited and have always attended the class of 63 reunions and have really felt like that was the class that I was with the most. Does anyone remember Mrs Martin/Mrs Aiena?She is living here inLumberton and is my friends mom. I remember her with her long blond pony tail and her strict rules in P.E. I see some of our classmates every so often and I am sure I see some that I don't remember..
