Now living in Groves, with my wonderful hubby, after hurricane ike took our house at the beach on a cruise. Retire from the city of beaumont after working as a Paramedic there. Now, photographer, artist, barrista,........... Good to be able to get in contact with some of the people that I went to school with.

Comments: Dec. 2011 --- Update (while hanging out w/ my kids on Christmas afternoon). Moved from West Texas in '08. In private practice here in Southlake and teaching at the medical school. Living in the metroplex allows Dana and I to be closer to our kids, and more importantly, our granddaughter! Anybody need a lay over near DFW airport, we're just a few minutes away. Blessings to all!
(2000) Wow!! Doesn't it strike you that the more years we live, the more precious and valuble our memories of our youth becomes. My three kids love to hear stories of Dad's "kid days" great friends having great fun. To my friends, close and casual, thank you for the best of times. I have a wonderful life today, but in 1976 I was a messed up hood at French. I was the kid who's wrist was severly cut on a window and hauled off in an ambulance. I owe a debt of gratitude to those that saved my life that day, but unfortunately I don't remember much. Any help is appreciated. John

Comments: (updated April 2010) we're still here / married 31 years june 2010 / 3 adult children, 2 grand-daughters / still work for at&t(32 yrs)/like to spend time in the country & at the beach (some things never change) / have stayed in touch with Mark Crow & Brian & Tuttie Serafino and see others occasionally. Spend most of our time with family. Jackie's favorite thing about school(on campus) was Mrs Dwyer's classes. Missy just loved it all.

Comments: Hi. A lot of you may not remember me, I was only at FHS from the middle of my sophomore year until graduation ~ regret that I don?t have the roots and memories many of you do, but I can say those two and a half years with you were wonderful, full of ups and downs, emotional, comical, memorial and all that normal high school stuff During the middle of my freshman year at Lamar my folks moved from Beaumont to Dickinson, during spring break 1979 I came to visit their ?new home? (they LEFT me in the dorms) and met my husband, Johnny Overton in Sunday School ~ great place to meet a good man We married April 1980 and he whisked me off to Johnson City Tennessee that summer. We had two sons, Eric ?85 and Jake ?88. It was wonderful raising our boys in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains. Fun outdoor stuff, right next to the Bristol Racetrack, so lots of NASCAR and drag racing! Our church family became the family we were 1000 miles away from. Wonderful times in Tennessee. We homeschooled for the most part, taking a break for a year or so and sending the boys to Christian school. In 1999 we decided to become modern day gypsies, sold it all, bought a two bedroom RV (tag trailer, not 5th wheel or anything fancy and a really big dually that I still miss to this day) to live and work on the road. We worked with several national special event companies selling Ben & Jerry?s ice cream and Lemon Chill at places such as THE Daytona 500, Indy 500, Kentucky Derby, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the airshow at Oshkosh, a few golf tournaments, and lots and lots of NASCAR and NHRA. A different event every week! My husband and boys thought it was great to be at all the race tracks and to meet their favorite drivers. We have Richard Petty?s autograph on a Ben & Jerry?s peace pop box!! And of course Dale Earnhardt?s too. Our last race was at Daytona the year before his death, we were glad we missed that one. We settled back down in Johnny?s home town of Dickinson where I worked as the church secretary at the church we were married in and where our boys were going to high school. The middle of my eldest son?s senior year my dad was diagnosed with colon cancer and 8 weeks later he was gone (12/03). Quite a shock since my dad was the picture of health. Those of you that used to come to my house and knew my parents (they were Sunday School teachers in the youth dept at First Baptist Bmt) know how much my dad loved God. We thought he would have been pleased that several accepted his Savior as a result of his death and funeral. Well, that event sorta changed my life. I left my job at the church and decided to really focus on my quilting. I taught beginning quilting classes, attended the annual International Quilt show in Houston and then in 2005 decided to make quilting my profession ~ I purchased a longarm quilting machine and ?quilt for hire?. I?ve turned into a rather boring person as all I talk about is quilts Can?t help it, besides my family and my Lord, it?s my passion. Okay, so that?s probably more than anyone wanted to know about me ~ but have to say I?m a little excited about the possibly of attending the reunion since I?m now a Texan again. As someone else said, the older we get the more we want to go back to the memories of our childhood. I sorta flounder in that area since I moved so much and don?t feel like I really have any roots?have had to adopt the attitude ?bloom where you are planted!? even when uprooted several times ~ 17 moves under my belt (not counting the years on the road with weekly moves) and hoping to stay put! Comments: I married Mark Gentry a year after graduation. We had one daughter (Candace) in January of 1981. We divorced and I married my current husband Clark Teague from Orange. He had 2 sons he was raising. We raised all three children and have been married 26 years. My husband is a deputy sheriff for Gray County (Pampa) Texas. We currently are maintaining two households until I am ready to leave my job. I work for Premium Standard Farms in Dalhart, Texas. I live in Texline which is right on the Texas New Mexico line in the top NW corner of the panhandle. Hopefully I will be able to quit my job and join my husband in Pampa within the next year. Together we have 7 grandchildren from all our children and one deceased grandaughter(Isabella Grace) from my daughter Candace. Our 2 sons live in Orange and Jefferson Texas. Candace(Candi) and her husband and children live in Pampa.

Comments: After graduating from Lamar University I moved to Houston where I met my husband Paul. We lived in Austin, San Antonio and Scottsdale, Arizona before moving to Plano in 1995. We have two great sons and I have been fortunate enough to stay home full time since they were born. They are heavily involved in sports, school and church activities which keeps me very busy! I have many fond memories of FHS, but my favorites are from my freshman year. I enjoyed everything about it...new friends, teachers (especially Mr. Beard), pep rallies, games, and of course the parties!! I had SO MUCH FUN...wouldn't have changed a thing! It's been great to see everyone at the class reunions and I look forward to the next one. I love this website...I've enjoyed reading about everyone and I hope to hear from some old friends soon.

Comments: I can't believe it's been 22 years since I graduated! This web page is awesome to look at and find names of people that I've known since childhood because all of my brothers and my sister graduated from FHS starting in 1966. I live in Fruitvale, TX which is near Canton, TX where they hold the First Monday Trade Days flea market once monthly. I graduated from Lamar University with an A.A.S. in Drafting, worked at Mobil Oil in Bmt for a few years, then moved to Flint, TX and graduated from U.T. Tyler with a B.S. in Computer Science. I worked at IBM for 6 years, and then at Kodak Health Imaging Division for 2.5 years, got married in 1997, moved to Fruitvale, and have since found employment near home. I work at Van Zandt Internet in Canton, TX providing technical support and office administration duties. We live on a little over 2.5 acres, and have 3 cats and 1 dog. We do not have any children, yet. Don't know if that will happen for us or not, but we are doing fine and really enjoy living outside the big city of Dallas. My husband, Jim, is from Dallas, and is a professional musician, and the technical director at the church we attend in Garland, TX. I still have friends in Beaumont, and just attended the 50th wedding anniversary of Anna and Ernest Gammage....do you all remember Anna Gammage?? She's great! (Ernest is, too!) Gina Vallot Heinlein, Jodie Page Meaux, Paula Smith Talbert, and Cathy Steward Murphy are a few of the closest friends I keep in touch with, but have also recently re-established contact with Mark Franklin. He's doing fine for anyone who wants to know! I'd love to hear from others who we went to school with...or who may have known any of my brothers or my sister. What a great page, Maribeth!

I married my High School sweetheart Kelly Luguette class of 79 and we have 2 great kids. Our Son is the same age I was when Kelly and I started dating ( I will have to keep an eye on him). Living in San Antonio for 16 years. Miss everyone. I work for the Air Force Base Conversion Agency as a Civil Engineer at Kelly Air Force Base. My sister DiAna Weaver turned me on to the page (C/O 75) Miss all my friends Julian , Harvey, Milton, Mary Lou, Jo Beth ,Cathy, Brian, Paula, Perry , Jerry and many more. Comments: (updated:jan '06)Just an update: I've been married to Mark Schaeffer (c/o '76) for 26 yrs. We have three children, Dustin, 24, Cody, 20, and Katy, 19. My family is of full of FHS alum - my brother Lynn Eastepp c/o '69, sister Debbie Eastepp Keith c/o '72, brother Larry Eastepp c/o '76, my brother-in-law and sister-in law Bret Schaeffer and Denise Vidrine Schaeffer c/o '78. After 17 yrs as a legal assistant to a local lawyer, I changed directions, went back to school, and graduated in May 2005 with an AAS in Nursing. I am now a labor and delivery nurse at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital. I have many fond memories of FHS. You couldn't find better friends than LaNell Dubose Bost, Cheryl Pierce Spears, Kelly Asbury, or Bubba Collins, just to name a few. I would love to hear from other classmates.
