After high school, I went to Lamar graduated with a Bachelor Degree. Married 6 month later went
LSU law school 3 months after I married, after which I opened my own Law Practice and practiced law in Lafayette
for 6 years. Divorced in 1993, and in 1995, moved to Washington, DC and began working for the Department of Justice.
In November 2001, I married Jonathan Ortega, who also works for the Fed Government. I have 2 step sons,
4 parrots which talk and a hand tamed. We also adopt older rescue dogs that are hard to place usually because
of their age and their abuse issues. We rehabilitate them and give them a good home to grow old in.
Right now we have 2 Collies, and 2 Shelties.

I was excited to find this sight on the web. I hope I can find some of my old friends. I have been married for 26 years and have 6 children. Stephen, Phillip, Karen and Kristen (twins), michael and Hannah. I moved to South Carolina 18 years ago.Haven't worked much, I've been too busy raising kids.

I Married the love of my life (Tim O'Dell)almost 28 years ago. We live in the mountains of northern Utah, and have been here for 20 yrs. Our daughter, Tiffany is 26, she has a degree in Psycology and is a director for the American Red Cross. She was in Houston at the Astrodome last August & September to aid in hurricane's Katrina & Rita. She has been married to a wonderful Christian man for over 4 yrs (no grandchildren yet).I have a Farmers Insurance Agency just outside the gates of Hill Air Force Base and Tim is a Special Projects Manager for Elkay West. Tim still plays his trumpet with our Church Orchestra and I still sing with a gospel group. Of course most of our great memories at FHS are from our days in the band.Tim and I would love to hear from some of you. The skiing is great here!!

Great site-love the pics of the reunions! Married my soul-mate, a Forest Park grad-Tim Sarver-1978, 25 years ago! Have 2 young ladies-Christina, 20-works full time and a student at Lamar and Emily, 17-grad this year from WB headed to Ole Miss on a softball scholarship. Finally went to Lamar at 37 yrs old, grad at 40, cum laude 1998 as an RN-imagine that!! See, God does work in mysterious ways! Who'da thunk? Work at St E. 7p-7a on the Oncology Floor and love working with patients. Looking forward to catching the next mass reunion-hopefully my brother can make it too-he grad from French the year I was born-1959! Remember the "Pots & Pans Parade" around the Village Shopping Cntr parking lot?

I live in Boerne, TX, NW of San Antonio. Just celebrated 20 yr anniversary with my lovely wife, Elaine. We met while at Texas A&M and we have two great kids. Although I am class of '77, I didn't actually graduate from French. I moved away in 1976 and never lived in Beaumont again, so I'm really a faux alumnus. Like several of the other entries on this page, I too remember riding in "Big Ed's van". Here are some other things I remember: Lucas, Concord, and 11th St., the river, the bowling alley, foosball & PacMan, Bellas Hess, Brothers of Men, Pizza Inn, Sartin's/Geneva's, Proms and the "Aloha" (on the circle), Crystal Beach, makin' rap at Skin Lake, Bonus Burger, Powderpuff football and Twirp week, and way too many names to mention (you know who you are). Hope everyone is doing OK.

Right after graduation I went to Lamar and graduated. I also started working for the Lamar Bookstore after graduation and worked my way up the ranks. After 13 years I left there and went to the law firm. I have been there 14 years now. I married Howard Smith a couple of months after our 20th reunion. I have two children, Christopher - 16 and Emily - 12. I also have two stepchildren, Mandy - 23 and Kristin 18. Christopher and Emily are soccer nuts so I see a lot of the alumni on the fields. We are also very involved with Scout Troop 177. Howard is the Scoutmaster and I am secretary/treasurer. Christohper just earned his Eagle at the first of the year. Emily could earn her Eagle too if they would let girls in. I see a lot of alumni on scout events. We missed the 25th reunion because we took the Troop whitewater rafting through the Royal Gorge. I am loving life and spend a lot of my time with the kids activities. Emily is starting to get serious with soccer. Everyone says she looks and acts like me. Pretty scary. Christopher made Varsity soccer at Westbrook this year (10th grade) and made First Team All District and Utility Player of the Year. I love the web page. It is interesting to see where people are and what they are doing.

What a great site! It has really brought back alot of fond memories for me. I remember old band and twirling buddies, football games, Crystal Beach and I sometimes still long for those days. They were the best friends a person could ever have. Your site has allowed me to get back in touch with almost all of them. I am married to Mike Winters (it took me almost 40 years to find the perfect man, but I was always a slow learner). I have had more fun in life than I ever dreamed possible and I love being 40ish. I wish you all the best life can bring!

Greetings Guys! Great webpage to keep in touch with old friends. I've bumped into several folks lately and catching up has been really great. I married in 1979 Robert Tribes (FHS '75)and we have 2 sons, Kirk and Eric. Kirk is now a Junior at Lamar majoring in accounting and Eric will be a Senior at Buna High this year. He plans to attend Lamar and also major in accounting. I work for Lumberton ISD as a department secretary. Great memories of FHS for me were band, football games, the fun of performing at halftime, and expressing myself with my flute. Mr. Slaughter was a wonderful influence who touched the lives of many!

Just attended Class of '62 40th Reunion. It was a great event. Growing up in Beaumont in the '50s and early '60s and attending Eugene Field, Bowie and French High were special times.
