Comments: I moved to Salt Lake City in 1982, I have been blessed with 4 wonderful children. I am divorced, currently working full time for Intercontinental Hotels Group (Holiday Inn Brand Chain) in their call center. My oldest (Erich) son was in the High School Marching Band and all the local paraides, it brought back memories of the old days, he now works for the Community College here as a computer tech. My 2nd (David) is a drummer, currently disabled. My 3rd (Andrew) goes to the Community College studying Video Game Designing, and my 4th (Jenny) is still in High School. One day I hope to come back and see everyone again.

Comments: Hey LOVE this website thank-you for your work. This is Anthony (Tony) Thorne class of 76. I left in 74 joined the Navy did alot of traveling in Europe and in the Med.. Joined with Eddie LaBlanc, Kenny Flebbe, Truett Lambert, and Bobby McCauley, we all went to bootcamp in Orlando, Florida. Married one of my best friends in Deneise Hamilton. Had my own pest and inspection company many years, last four years playing on Toledo Bend. I am single with my eleven year old boy who is my life. Recently moved back to Beaumont area. Talking to Judy Meynig as of late and just surfed on in. Been in touch with Bobby Easter and Wendell Biscamp. Will stay in touch. Thank-you Tony Thorne. I really wanted to go to Bowie which is where most of my compadres went. But I think about so many of you and wonder what became of the class of "76. Comments: I am fortunate to have kept up many close friendships with French alums over the years. I also now realize that I was lucky to have had many teachers at French that really cared about my education and helping me prepare for college (Mrs. Yates and Mrs. Smallwood immediately come to mind). And I have always appreciated that Mrs. Crittenden truly provided me guidance at times--like my senior year when Mrs. Wagstaff decided I needed to NOT be in her experimental English class; the feeling was mutual as Mrs. Crittenden noted and got me out of there. I am also lucky to have fulfilled my career goal of being an attorney.

It's great to be back home. I've already run in to several FHS alumni and old friends. I have wonderful memories of school, especially the Fall-time. Band and twirling practice, going to the games and performing. Thanks to my friends and teachers for those good memories!

I can remember taking driver ed and practicing parellel parking out in the parking lot, girls gym class and those classy blue one piece suits we had to wear and being an office aid. Those were the days and we were just to blind to see it, back then.

Comments: NEOPETS Neopets is a childs game, I play it cause its safe for my grands, that is the link above, hope I am not out of line listing it. I am Cheryl Cook of class of 1976, I married Charlie Coudrain of class of 1974. My best friend is Gloria Linstrom Harder class of 1972. We raised 3 sons ages 26, 25, and 24. We are grandparents of 8 so far: ages 4,4,3,3,2,2,1,1 only 2 girls in the mix. Charlie and I have found a few of our old classmates and started talking through messangers and emails, we call Charles Edwards and talk to him quite a bit lately. Charlie is 50 now, I am 44; hea was a few years older than most of his class but because of his eyes, he started school late. I remember, alot of strange things our classes did, motorcycle rides down the halls, boy was Rector made over that one. The trips to the AG Farm, I remember the day it rained so much the parking lot across the street was totally under water. I remember teachers helping me when I had problems at home, they were so caring then. I read all t he messages and I am sorry we havent known about any of the reunions, bonfires or whatever, we have kept our phone number unlisted, our mistake. I did right down a list of email addresses and will email those I and Charlie found, hopefully some are good email addresses.

Comments: Hello! My Father was Minister of Ed for North End Baptist '75-'80? I hated coming but gained a wonderful soul-mate. I have never forgotten that 1st Fri. in town, deturmined to be miserable. My parents said, "Go to the youth function! You might have fun!" Looking for the only person I knew in town, I went. As I walked in, the Youth Dir. Steve said,"Richard, you're just in time! Will you be Penny's partner?" I had a moment of clarity. I remember taking in every second, every movement in the room. All the world came to a halt as I met her smile. Never have forgotten that the whole scene. everything about it. 25 years later, I can still experience that moment when I look into her eyes of fall helplessly into her arms. Comments: Graduated LU in 82. Met my wife Sue at lamar and we have three children age 14-9 1 boy and 2 girls. I want to apologize to Ms Swartze (sophomore english teacher) for threating to run her down in the FHS parking lot. I thought it was a good idea at the time since she failed me with a 69 making me take summer school and ruining my summer. I have matured slightly since then and realize that i needed to take sophomore english again along with junior english and college freshman english. It finally took the third time in college and I graduated lamar with a 3.7 gpa. To Ms Crittinton our senior consler, see i told that a high school gpa of 1.2 did not mean i was not college material. I am self employed and still depend heavily on spell and grammer check. by the way were is the spell check icon. I look forward to seeing everyone at the next get together.

Comments: What a great site! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into this so we all can enjoy. I married a Buddy (from Houston) and Aug is 21 years. We have a son Trey, 18yrs who will enter Texas Tech this fall and a daughter Becky 15yrs who is a junior this year. Griping cause she's a junior w/o a driver's license. Favorite memories are Buffalo Belles, Winning State in Volleyball, decorating for Homecoming, football games, Pizza Inn, Crystal Beach in the summers. Those were the good ole days. Lots of great friends. Most of our time has been revolves around our kids. I still spend alot of time in the gym, only now I watch volleyball. Becky has developed a passion for the game and is quite good. She has had a following of college coaches since her freshman year.(UCLA, Stanford, UT, Florida, are a few.) Makes her Momma proud. She has played in the National Jr Olympics summer 98 & 99. Needless to say we do stay busy and I manage to run my own jewelry business in there ! too. You guys that need anniversary & birthday gifts call me. Can't wait for the next reunion. The last one was a blast. I would love to have a reunion of several classes to see friends from other years. Comments: Hi, what a neat place! I've been lucky, I married my Hi School sweetheart, Candy Brushaber ('76 too) in '77 and we're still together and having a great time. We have 2 great kids, and one we're not so keen on (joke, laugh here). Really just the two good ones. (updated March '09) Married to a beautiful lady who was a Doctor for 11 years. I was transfered from Texas to North Carolina 2 years ago. it would be great to have a reunion consisting of 4 year span. We travel in the states and over seas.
There is only one thing to say.......those were the days. school today is nothing like what we had. I could talk about all the parties and fun we had at the river and beach, but I'm not sure there is enough room I wish all my friends good luck and good cheer. Comments: (updated - 03/16/02)I originally did not leave any comments, but I got several e-mails from old friends wanting to know what I have been up to. I am an Investigator with the Southeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force. I have been married for 22 years to Patti Palmer from Pt. Arthur. We had two boys, Matthew and Joel. Matthew is 17 and a JR at Lumberton. Joel died in 1996 when he was 8 from a AVM. This made me realize how short our time on Earth truly is! I ride Vintage Motocross on old Can-Am motorcyles with Phil Bartlett (Mary Sue's older brother). The best part of High School was making life long friends. E-mail me anytime!

Comments: Wow! What a find! Just yesterday I was looking through my French 76 yearbook and walking down memory lane - go figure... Well, 20 + years have taken me from Beaumont to A&M (Gig 'Em!) to Houston to St. Louis and back here to the Houston area - Spring, to be exact. Along the way, I got married to my best friend of 13 years (the former Tammy Byers, also French class of 76 - although she didn't catch me till I was 30!), had 2 beautiful children (Mandy, 8, and Nick, 7), and have been blessed by many, many friends, both new and old, along the way. The 20th Reunion was great - can't wait until 25!!
Update: Jan 5 2000:Who'd believe it, but here we are back in Beaumont! (and the funny part is, I'm really loving it!!) Tammy is now teaching school in our beloved old high school (now Smith Middle School) and I'm working with my father-in-law in a wonderful jail and prison ministry. Moved to California in '87, started a business and just recently bought a home in Houston. Was married in '91 to Sherryl Shipley (Donut Queen) and had a beautiful daughter (Ashlyn) in '93.
