hello everyone it was rally nice to find this web page. i came to french the middle of my 10th grade year. i played varisty basketball and ran track. after grauduation night I caught the first bus out of beaumont back to atlanta.
I found my true love (Derek Harrell) in Georgia he was in the Army Honor Guard. We have been together since 1985. I have 3 boys Andrew 19, Thomas 6 (don't ask I have know idea what we were thinking). My stepson (Derek Jr.) is 22 and is currently serving in Iraq.
I truely enjoyed my years at French. My father still lives in Beaumont off of Magnolia Street. I come home every 2 yrs to visit. I was recently in Beaumont in Febuary 2006. I took my 19 yr old to see the school, I even song the theme song "We're playing basketball" that the girls team used to come in on. His face was one to be remembered.
My favorite teacher was Mrs. Green who taught Accounting. The only thing I ever feared at French was Ms. Mansfield and her paddle during basketball practice. i have become addicted to orange crush soda.
My best memories are at French and all of the crazy growing pains that I went through. I have boxes of pitcures of people that went to school there, but I can not put names with them. Just looking at them brings back a peaceful time.

I spent 5 yrs in the USN and remained in Maryland after my enlistment. I am deeply into the sport of motorcycles. Mainly street riding and dodging idiots in their training wheels (automobiles). I have been riding for 6 yrs and currently have a 2003 Honda CBR600RR which I nicknamed "Nyte Ryder". There is nothing like hitting speeds of 150 mph and over. I have two Chow Chows I love dearly. Their names are Quiteaux and Riyadh.

The class of 1985 had to be the best of all! I miss those days! After graduating from Lamar, I lived in Houston and also in Nashville, then finally back to the great state of Texas. I've been working in healthcare for 19 years now and loving it. Currently Director of Capital Assets for 54 hospitals across the US for a For-Profit healthcare company. I have a beautiful daughter and wonderful husband. I would love to hear from any of you, it's been years and I look forward to seeing you at the reunion.

20 years since we left French High School - no way - that cannot be true. My days at FHS were special and somewhat trying, but by God's grace I was carried through. After FHS I obtained a couple of College Degrees, moved to Fort Worth, Texas finished my Masters Degree, married an absolutely beautiful and wonderful lady (Milli) in 1996, opened my own business in 1999, had two children (David II) 2000 and (Laura) 2002. We planted a Church in Fort Worth late 2004 and I am soooooo looking forward to seeing some old faces (propbably a little older looking than any of us wants to admit) in July 2005 for our 20 Year Reunion. Our senior year had to be the highlight of growing up.Going all the way to the state championship in football and playing at Texas stadium.Those are things that every high school football player dreams of, and WE DID IT!! I have been in Houston since 1985. I now have four wonderful children. Charles(boomer) 19 college in Iowa, Crystle 15 #1 in her class of 1350, Lakeyshea' 13 #1 in 100 meter track and field in the district, and Keith 9 we have not found his talent yet. Hello everybody ! I am just sending an update since I last wrote in Aug.99. I am still married to Bobby Ray since 1985(married my senior year and no I was not pregnant). Bobby and I are the parents of a son Kyle who is going to turn 16 soon and a daughter named Emilee who turned 2 in May- they are the best part of being alive!!!! I hope to hear from other classmates sometimes, I just wanted to let people know that I miss French High and all the fun times we had (Homecoming was always the best)!!!! Happily married, 4 children, stay at home mom. Favorite teachers would have to include Mrs. McMillan, Schim, and Mrs. Bishop. Special memory has to be going all the way to state in football and the Buffalo Belles! WOW! Go Belles! The Academic Decathlon was also lots of fun. A humbling experience when faced up against real brains.

My family is still in Beaumont, so I keep up on old friends some and still am in touch with classmates. I have 2 children, work part time and basically take care of our children. I graduated from Lamar University, and currently working as a Laboratory Technician at SUN OIL (SUNOCO) in Nederland TX. My favorite days at FHS would have to include being a member of the Buffalo Belles and the year the football team earned us the title of State Co-Champions!!! Even though the name has changed, it will always be "FRENCH HIGH SCHOOL" to me.

The night I graduated I cried because I knew everything and everyone I knew was about to change. I looked at my classmates that night and realize that I would probably never see them again. When I go home now and see old classmates it makes me feel 17 yrs. old again.

In my last year at French High, we made it to the Football Championship. Texas Stadium was awesome.
