What a great site. Was married 10 years to David Allen class of 72 French High. Now married 28 years to the love of my life, Lester Finley class of 73 Vidor High School. I've got 3 grown children, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grand.
It's so good reading names of people from way back then. Sure shakes the cobwebs & makes me remember some really good people & good times.

Mark and I are both retired school teachers. Our daughter, Sarah and husband have given us two energetic grandsons. They live close so we get to enjoy playing with them every chance we get. Our son, Ricky, passed away in Oct. 2007. We live on a farm and raise Simmental cattle. We both are part time with the Chester ISD. I have a reading lab there, work 3 days a week and love it! I am embarassed to say that I have not been to a reunion since the first one. Hope to make the next one!

I live between Greensboro and Chicago to be with my 3 granddaughters. Married to Al for 33 yrs. We have 2 children, Brooke, mother of beautiful granchildren, and Blake, married to Bmt girl, living and working for Kimberly-Clark in Neena, WI. Al retired so we move about too frequently and never really unpack. I keep in touch with Debbie Young Forkner and Sherrie Murphy Colligan...we spent New Year's Eve at Guatalajara restaurant this year and talked as if it were yesterday. Hello Class of '72.

Married James Adams (also class of ’72) just after high school. We both spent 5 years in the Air Force then went to Lamar. James has a BS in Criminal Justice, I have a BS in Nursing. James is a detective for the City of McKinney Police Dept and I was the Director of Perioperative Services for 15 years but now work for the Quality Dept. We have been married for almost 36 years and have 3 beautiful children – Jared (28), Hope (27) and Halie (21). I am ashamed to say that we have not attended any of the class reunions. Hopefully we can make home for the next one.

After high school I was in and out of Lamar until they finally gave me a degree and told me I had to leave (seventeen years). During that time I worked in the oilfield as well as other vocations until I finally settled down. I have a daughter and son that make me realize just how time unfolds but life is good. My favorite teachers were Mrs. Davidson (english), Mrs. Frazier and Mr. Mullendor (D.E.). I see some of our classmates and have contacted/found a few others lately. Memories of F.H.S. are like fine wine--they get better with age. I would love to hear from any and all.

This is what I keep telling my kids. I hope everyone has as much love in their life as I have been blessed with.(I ended a sentence with a preposition! Sorry Mrs. Callahan!!)

Lots of special memories at FHS!...a great school in a galaxy far away. I married Lee Corley (FHS '74) in 1980 after renewing our relationship as students at Lamar where we both earned two degrees each. We have two good kids and we've always been in Beaumont until our planned move to Friendswood in June '02. Mike Slay was and remains my best friend. Zulma Smith was my favorite teacher (though technically Mildred Yates, my 5th grade English teacher at Eugene Field Elem. would have edged her out if I had had her for any classes at FHS)...James Ruby, Travis Beard, and Guy Broussard were fine teachers worth noting; Jim Boone was a huge influence on me. I was proud to be "neath the pines so green..."

Attended L.U., Oklahoma State U, U of Tulsa, and Francis Tuttle Vo Tech. I actually recieved a diploma from Lamar. I moved when the place needed painting or the bill collectors found me. I have resided in Jasper, Beaumont (3 times), Rolling Meadows Il, Oklahoma City Ok, Deer Creek Ok, Edmond Ok, Richmond Va and finally (so far) Powhatan Va. Wife #2 and I have a nice place in the country. I saw some classmates over the years but with my 20+ years as field service engineer -that was limited. I have a daughter who with husband and son resides in Va. My son is in Vidor with the first spouse. I also have a step grand daughter who is in the Richmond area. Love to work in my flower gardens and yard. Wife #2 is real lady and is trying to teach me proper English. I have not forgotten nor can I express what the memories mean to me.

(updated June '07)
I retired from ExxonMobil 7 days before my 50th birthday, left Beaumont for Lumberton and a much larger yard to mow! If I had only known retirement was so good I would have never worked in the first place! Two of my kids are grown and moved away with only one left at home. My son is flying all over the east coast with US Airways and is always wanting to know where I want to go (free airfare) ... I say "Lumberton". To which his reply is "the runway's way too short!" After being retired for 3 years and living in Southeast Texas for 53 years I am yearning to leave flatland and live on top of a mountain in the Smokey Mountains somewhere and become a hillbilly. Well, I have to cut this short, it's time for my 'power-nap' or time to check the water in the pool or something .... life's hectic these days! hahaha
Married, 3 ‘kids’ they are moving out slowly. John the oldest is in University of North Texas, I’m especially proud of him. I’ve invested a lot too.. $$$ Time Groceries, & Worry! I am still working as a supervisor in the production department of ExxonMobil after 25 years. Following in the path of those who travel before me, I have put on weight, had back surgery, did a triple by-pass, and enjoy arthritis on occasion Yep, falling apart and –out of warranty- Mike "Dr. Oz" Oszczakiewicz (Julie's little brother) did my surgery and STILL remembered the GREEN Chevy! Boy did that change the Dr/Patient climate. This site has been great, as I have heard from a lot of people who were on my ‘missing in action’ list. Would love to see many of you again, and one of you in particular (& no you don’t owe me money). Life has been very good to me! I wish you all well.
Note: Those of you who knew my older brother Ronnie (changed to ‘Ron’ after gross income exceeded 1m *Grin*) passed away in India while visiting a friend just a few years ago at the age of 48. He went to French but graduated from Beaumont High.
